Ambassador - turned – author
proclaiming now the message of spiritual depth

Mr. Rajnish Roy, formerly in diplomatic service also at the Indian Embassy in Vienna, is known to many of us as a person radiating peace and interior joy. Retired from the government service as Ambassador to Turkmenistan, he decided to cultivate his god-given passion to pursue the workings of human mind, consciousness, and evolution of life. Intensive study and practice of Indian spirituality coupled with the experience gathered over the years with men and women from many walks of life all over world, has enabled him to penetrate to the “substratum of our being” (T.S. Eliot). The product is a fascinating new book:

REWIRING THE BRAIN

Living without Stress and Anxiety through the Power of Consciousness
   R a j n i s h   R o y
Published by Xlibris, USA

This is not just another book on stress. It explores a daring and innovative path to accessing the power of consciousness as a more effective and lasting solution to tackle stress and emotional afflictions.

Rewiring the Brainis a fascinating journey to the inner world of self to discover why one behaves the way one does. It outlines certain practical methods that slow down aging process and enhance memory, attention span, and emotional equilibrium.

The book has a refreshingly open-minded approach, devoid of religious or mystical beliefs, and does not involve psychological escapes.  Roy has made extensive use of research by neurologists and scientists to build his case and uphold his bold speculations.

Scientists and philosophers have advanced insightful theories on the nature of consciousness. However, not much research is done on the practical use of the power of consciousness to tackle stress, depression, and attention deficit. In that direction, Rewiring the Brainis a brilliant endeavour to synthesize the latest research on human brain with the ancient disciplines of harnessing the power of consciousness, such as meditation and yoga.

Rajnish Roy was India’s ambassador to Turkmenistan. As a career diplomat, he worked also in Austria, Germany, Nepal, Afghanistan, Kenya, and with the Indian mission to the United Nations, Geneva. Besides his profession, he has an abiding interest in exploring the workings of human mind, consciousness, and evolution of life. Rewiring the Brain is a product of that passionate pursuit over several years.
