About me |
|||
I am Tilja Mathew, 19 years old, Born in Vienna and brought up in different Countries such as Vienna, Kerala, England and now in Switzerland. I am doing my Apprenticeship in as Housekeeping Management. I started Dancing at the age of two. I just enjoyed each and every Step I took, and I started to dance alike my Cousins. I think they are my Gurus of Dancing, because I never learned how to dance, I just danced. Dancing means more than anything to me, because I believe it’s a natural talent given by the Almighty God for me. As I told, I never learned dancing, but the Lord God made me capable to teach varies age groups, different Dances such as Bollywood, Arabian and all our Kerala &Indian Dances, except all our Traditional Indian Classical Dances. As I came to Bern, Switzerland before three years, people here requested me to teach their kids and so I started my Dance class in November 2003 with just two kids, which has now broaden up to varies places in Switzerland, mainly focused in Bern, Zürich, Basel. I always try my best to give a variety in my Choreography by adding more colours to my dances and using the Nava Rasa’s from our Traditional Indian Classical dance and of course the Background. I, myself do the Choreography, teach and design the Dance dress always in a different Style and decide what Background should be done My greatest highlights during my “Dancing Career” was to dance with Live Music and Orchestra conducted by Seven Eight Music, Switzerland in Zürich and a Semi- Classical Cinematic dance which was danced on Keralapiravi 2006 conducted by Befriends, Switzerland where I expressed the “Nagavalli” to my best with the Nava Rasa’s. My greatest moment where I have been proud of being a Dance Teacher was the Dance, danced by my Basel- Allschwill Students: Naina Chakkalakkal, Kevin Madassery, Anupa Kureeckal, Meril Kureeckal, Shilpa Thaliyath representing Lord Krishna and the Gopika’s through the Dance. I am proud to say, that I was honoured through the Dance from theAudience, Judges and well-known Dance Teachers from Kerala. I’ve been offered to teach in a High School “Gymnasium”, in Interlaken, which I take as an Opportunity to develop my Skill. |
